Chili Sin Carne with Mince


  • 2 packs of The Vegetarian Butcher Mince
    (olive) oil for frying
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
    1 green pepper, deseeded and diced
    1 red pepper, deseeded and diced
    400 g of diced tomatoes
    A tin of kidney beans (400 g)
    1 tbsp of vegetable stock
    1 tsp of chili powder
    ΒΌ tsp of cinnamon
    2 tsp of cumin
    1 tsp of oregano
    1tsp of cocoa (dissolved in a tbsp of water)


Heat the oil in a large, high pan. Add the onion, garlic, and peppers and fry them until the start to brown slightly. Then add all the other ingredients except the Mince and let it all simmer for 20-30 minutes. Add the mince towards the end and leave to simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes until the Mince is warmed through.
Great in a tortilla with some grated cheese!
