Bacon & Beans Salad with Smoked Bacon Bits


  • 1 box of The Vegetarian Butcher Smoked Bacon Bits
    3 tbsp oil for frying
    1 tbsp agave nectar (syrup)
    2 little gem, washed and chopped
    2 avocados, chopped
    2 tins of any beans, drained (we used white beans and lupini beans)
    250 g tomatoes, chopped
    50 g pecans
    3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    Salt & pepper


Fry the Smoked Bacon Bits in 3 tbsp oil until crispy. Remove the pan from the heat, add the agave nectar and mix well.
Use the vinegar and olive oil to make a dressing and season to taste with salt and pepper. Now mix all the ingredients together and top with Smoked Bacon Bits.

A delicious salad that is quick and easy to make and even easier to vary.
Why not try one of the following ingredients: Chicory, green beans, potatoes, The Vegetarian Butcher Chicken Chunks, gherkins, (soy) yogurt dressing, nuts, seeds, pasta, sweetcorn, goji berries or beetroot. The possibilities are endless.
